Went to the local indoor range yesterday and I brought along my Glock23, Springfield XD9, and my Ruger SR22p. I put 150 round through my Glock, 75 rounds through the XD, and 150 through the SR22. Although I love shooting all my handguns, there is something really ,really fun about the SR22!!
The other thing I noticed is being a lefty I'm shooting high and right most the time. I can't wait to take some formal training.

Your not alone! I picked up a Ruger SR22 a couple weeks ago as a new toy and starter handgun to teach my wife how to shoot. Shot close to 1000 rounds of Federal, CCI, Blazer and Remington ammo through it and had no problems. Great all around gun for every level of shooter with lots of features. (Single action/Double action/Ambidexterous Thumb Safety & Decocking Lever/Trigger Safety/Fixed Front & Adjustable Rear Sight/Picatinny Rail) Easy to break down for cleaning. Lastly, it's very affordable. I picked mine up from Reed's in Santa Clara for $420.00 OTD (Tax & DROS included). Comes with 2 magazines, 2 different size grips (Keep the small one that comes on the gun if this is for a female shooter. Changing them out requires some muscling but necessary if you need a bigger grip.), lock and carrying case. Clean it well after every range trip and you are good to go. I enjoy shooting it very much, especially at the outdoor 40 yard tin can range when you get to make the cans hop and skip. =)

It is just a blast to shoot, my 12 year old enjoys it but surprisingly my wife does not. She like the Xd9

Nice!

There are some correction charts at http://gunlink.info/forums/index.php?topic=347.0

There are probably some here on CG as well, had that handy.

copy the lefty one and see if it helps a little?

Have fun. :)

it must be the AA, vs, the "D" syndrome.

Been researching this pistol as a fun range plinker for the wife & I. I shoot my 1911, but a cheap and fun little SR22 just might fit the bill! Was thinking of the Ruger 22/45, but the take down/cleaning just seems like it would be too much of a hassle.

Watched a few videos last night on the SR22. Even Hickok45 liked it! :)

The LGS has them for $349, so probably the same as you Outlaw!

I have a Ciener conversion for my Springfield 1911A1 and CMMG conversion for my MP-15 Sport. Over Thanksgining my son and I burned through 1500 rounds of bulk 22lr and still had cash in out pockets to go to Five Guys for burgers.

For $20 you can shoot a .22lr almost all day. The Ruger is a great little gun!

I wanted to get rid of the Remington Thunderbolt ammo I had, so I brought it with me to the range a couple weeks ago. My SR22 did not like that ammo at all.

I paid $339 @ RCGE and then found it for $289 @ Sportsmans Warehouse a few hours later-

Yeah, I too bought it for $339 @ RCGE...Found out MTG Firearms had it for $319. I'd rather buy local and avoid the transfer/shipping fees (it adds up to a point where its almost the same as LGS - which I would rather support)

But love the gun tho!!
