I just ordered a Sig Sauer SP2022 today. I'm so excited! It's also my first handgun so this is all a whole new experience for me. :batman:

Thanks! I tried a lot of different 9mm handguns but this by far felt the best in my hands and my wallet, haha.

You'll find firearms are like Doritos - can't have just one. Congrats, welcome to the forum and enjoy your new pistol.

Just hit the crack pipe. You are screwed now. Good purchase for a first gun. Show some pics when you get it.

@Foebia- wegc? What's that?

Thanks guys! I had a question though, I was looking around google for a drop in beaver tail but couldn't find any for sp2022. Do companies not make it for the sp2022?

Congrats! Great first gun. Got one for my wife and it's been a great shooter. Downside is not a lot of accessories available. But that's okay, cuz you're gonna want to get a P226 next and then a P220 after and on and on and on..... :43:

Grats and welcome to responsible gun ownership!

I remember my first gun... Also a handgun. I wound up buying like 3 other guns in the following couple months. Once you pop you can't stop. XD

I started a year and half ago. Look at my signature, and I recently put a Glock 20 in jail.

Addictive is not the word.

Nice Choice for a first... I have one in 9mm and it is amazingly accurate for how short of a barrel it has, plus it eats everything!

Only thing I would suggest is to watch the slide release if you shoot with a thumbs forward super high tang grip. I had to train myself to not put my thumbs there as I was causing a couple double feeds and failure to lock back on the last round if I was riding the catch. Happened in a USPSA night shoot twice on one stage and really threw me off my game :( lost track of my round count which meant I was one round short on the last target... Super bummer.

I love how your sp2022 looks :drool5:.

Omg, time attacks looks so fun. I've always wanted to build a race pistol out of a 1911, haha.

But I think I'd want an AR next time around, lol. Was watching a guy next to me shoot it in the range and saw how much fun it was to shoot it.

It's taking Palmetto St Armory forever to process my order though :facepalm:
