Looking for a gun smith familiar with 1911's. I have a pre model 70 colt combat commander that is starting to show its age. It's a steel frame, so I do want to keep it stock.

Needs a thorough going over, and some TLC.

Thanks for suggestions.

There are a few members here on the forum, "CC Gunsmithing" and "kendog4570"

I have kendog's phone..Ken Brada, 815-334-2386, he's in Aptos. I used Ken's services to flush cut and crown my 1911 barrel.

I think cc gunsmithing is located in the south bay.

Call Eddys Shooting Sports in Mountain view. He opens at 11am today. For gun smith questions id only speak with the owner Greg. If he can't do it, for whats always a reasonable price, I guarantee he knows someone local who can.

Give CC Gunsmithing a call, he can break down, inspect, and clean up the gun for you.

U.S. Firearms in Sunnyvale. Talk to Eric.

I believe they specialize in 1911 gunsmithing.

Thanks for the suggestion! They have very good reviews on yelp! I now have a new shop to check out.

Anybody have any suggestions for a gunsmith in the East Bay?
