Was thinking of doing a single shot exemption on a wilson combat. Will this void the warranty since I would be putting non factory parts on the gun?

Your only temp putting non factory parts on, as soon as you own it all original parts go back on. I sent my EMP 40 in because sights were way off and it was free to ship, springfield honored the warrantee, while there I had them trick it out :D

What are you planning on picking up? If you don't mind me asking? I just picked up a Taurus 1911 9mm myself.

To be on the safe call Wilson and ask them.It would be a shame to spend a bucket of $$ on a quality pistol and do something that may void the warranty.

NO. You'll have all the original parts when you compete the SSE.

The SSE barrel and mag are just temporary to get the weapon out the FFLs door. Walk outside, make a U turn, walk back in the store and give the extras back to the FFL and install the normal parts. Good to go.

You're field stripping a gun and slapping some drop in parts without permanent modification. Not doing any bubba gunsmithing. Go for it.

Don't call wilson, the only thing that's done is swapping the barrel and a cut mag release. Your not shooting the gun with the long barrel, it's just like that for the transfer.
Believe me, i've done the single shot exemption work on hundreds of guns, a lot of that was making custom parts for guns we couldn't get extras for.

I'm going to SSE an Ed Brown at Valkyrie Arms. They told me the barrel they install is "loose" so it can't ruin the fitment of the pistol or void any warranties. I assume other FFL's would do the same.

Make sure who ever installs the barrel knows what they're doing, and check for idiot marks. I have no idea who works there anymore.

No. I recently got a Sig via SSE. I had to send it back to Sig for FTF; they fixed it under warranty no problem.
