Can 2,10/20 pro mags taped together back to back constitute a hi cap mag in Ca.? In a state full of stupid laws, It doesn't seem like such a supid question...

I'm sure a legal eagle will be along but.
The wording in the penal code reads " an ammunition feeding device"
To my simplistic English comprehension that would make it one device. You have multiple devices. Taping them together in my eyes does not by any means make it one.
Nor does any single device accept more than ten rounds of ammunition.

Cool. I'll tape another to them. Just hope the cop knows what a 10/20 and 10/30 mag is... Just did some research. "(A) A feeding device that has been permanently altered so that it cannot accommodate more than 10 rounds."
Tape is not permanent. My loophole... Tape 'em up guys! A BB ring and flip the mag over. Good to go! This is what I wanted to know.

I wouldn't stress too much on awareness of 10/20 10/30 conversions. I would imagine most Leo's are aware by now but in the off chance you do get jammed up for it I'd just simply say " you're more than welcome to try to insert more than ten rounds in there". That'll likely solve any confusion.

NO, you have not created a "standard capacity mag", you're GTG.

after you make really really really sure you really can't fit that 11th round in there

Make sure you use Tacticool tape for that project.

though not a "loophole" it is legal, just a real pain to release with a tool, pull out, flip and reinsert. With any degree of speed or ease of motion. Your call.
