Do you think it is worth the time and money to clone a German MP44? or Do you think it will be a waste of time and money? I like to know how it will feel to shoot the world's first assault rifle, even if it is only in semi auto.

The online computer game, Call of Duty 2 got me loving the MP44 and the M1 Carbine. And after play that game, I went out and got me a nice Colt 1911. But with my big hands, I ended up replacing it with a Para P14-45. Oh Wells.

COD2? Try Red Orchestra: Ostfront.

Hard game? Yes. Realism is good.

Well here it is folks. This company makes the world first semi-auto MP44 (BD43/1 and BD44) :drool5:
They are currently being imported to Canada thru Marstar. There is a rumor that they may set up a plant in the USA to get around the importation ban. There was someone back east (North Carolina) who tried to be a distributer. He obtained one of the guns and sent it to the BATF for approval and was told NO.
There is a lot of talk on the guns this company produces. First no full auto parts will fit the gun.Very good news. Next there is talk of a ten round mag.
The BD38 would likely be one that won't be made here due to length requirements. I have my ear to the ground and hope for good news in the future. I want one REALLY BAD also. :drool5: If I hear more I'll post it. :43:

If they converted it to a common modern caliber such as 7.62x39, I'd want one. That FG42 is cooler though. :cool2:

This place is making the FG42 already here in the US. If you have the $$$.

Personally, i wouldnt want a mp44 in anything other than 7.92 kurz. Its the real experience and they still make it. reloading is fun.

No, words can describe......

I want one. I wish I had a first born child to sell. And yes, no other caliber but 7,92 kurz would be acceptable.

Those BD43/44 looks great. I wouldn't mind paying $$$ for one but not 10Gs. That price is a thrill kill.
If we can have access to the De Lorean and the flux capacitor, our wishes would come true.

awesome - I thought I was "done" - now have more things to aspire too....

I want one just for the historical value and maybe some WW2 renacting on the side. :p

IMO, keep it in the orginal caliber.

As soon as they are made available here in the US, I will pick up 2 for sure, one for shooting and one to put on display along with my German G/K43 rifles.

I would pay the $3k price for one here.

Original caliber is a cool factor too.

They sell them in Canada at this site but they are unbelievably expensive and still can not be imported here. http://www.marstar.ca/index.shtm This place also sells Norinco M-14ís for $400 and SKS for $139 CAD. Is there any way that we can get rid of Clintonís executive order that banned them?
