Yeah, thats why i went with single shot bolts in all mine. While the fun value is in the semi, the cost value over ruled my decision.

Fortunately I can still fire 10 rounds of factory 50BMG ammo for only $10.00. The current prices for 50BMG ammo are insane.

Yeah, I wish there are areas around here that will let me use surplus FMJ 50BMG ammo.:( Every range here will only let me shoot Lead Core or brass bullets. Fortunately I can still fire 10 rounds of factory 50BMG ammo for only $10.00. The current prices for 50BMG ammo are insane.

RobG I was getting 1.5 M at 50 yards. That is a little over 5 feet ;):D

I have not shot my 82A1 at Laguna Seca in years, but I believe they still allow steel core ammo there. I donít believe Coalinga has any restrictions either. The last time I had the 82A1 out we shot around Pinecrest in the Sierras. My friend works for the Forest Service and he finds good places for us to go shooting up there.

I am in SoCal. Don't believe there is any ranges that will let me shoot steel core. Wish I had friends that will Clear a path for me to shoot! :D

How real does it have to be?

It does not get any more real for us, Californians. It's a real Barret M82A1 with a pined mag.
