Hello everyone,

Do any shops around the bay area stock Off list receivers. I'd rather drive than to pay the high transfer fees.

City Arms in Pacifica might have them. Just where in the Bay Area are you?

:kest: call Dean at ddsranch.com or Hector at coldwarshooters & they'll ship to Irvington Arms. You're pretty limited as far as the immediate bay area FFLs who don't charge a lot for transfer fees are concerned. Most are around $40-$50 plus DROS. Some will tag in the sales tax as well.

Post a WTB in the classifieds section. Maybe someone wants to sell theirs for a song & dance.:D

Last time I was in City Arms they had some Fab-10s. I asked them stocking "real" olls and they replied that the laws were too uncertain for them to stock or accept transfers.

oh, by the way, im looking for an AK47 receiver. sorry for not mentioning it earlier. My friend, the cheapest way to get an AK receiver is to order one from the company that makes the NDS-3s (Nodak Spud?), and have them send it to "Roger's Relics" in San Jose ($55 transfer fee, includes DROS).

I bet you $20 you will not get one cheaper than that.

That is what I did and it will be ready for me to pick up next Tuesday. Then AK building time-922r and California compliant :) By the way, it is Nodak Spud that makes the NDS3

+1 - I'm 40 miles away and gladly make the drive to deal with RR. You guys in the south bay got it made.

Good advice... except I'll use a local guy for the DROS.
