Just to name a few:
Older Colt or Smith & Wesson revolvers
Ruger LCP or SR1911
Any Gen 4 Glock
While any of these are available in CA it would have to be a private party transaction (PPT) or a single shot exemption (SSE). Limiting it to these choices could be inconvenient or more expensive.
You can bring magazines with you but any that hold more than 10 rounds must be disassembled prior to entering CA and cannot be reassembled while in CA.

Springfield XDm if you can find a 10rd mag or you block the factory one to only hold 10rds.
Take your pick. There are plenty of handguns out there us Californians can't get......at least not easily. Welcome aboard.

What kind of guns do you like? What guns do you expect to buy someday?

The Bta Px4 compact 9mm type F can't be purchased in CA. This is a very desirable handgun and I and others would love to have one thru PPT

i was kind of thinking the LCP, the PX4 storm, etc. i can see that.
i would not have guessed glocks and 1911s would be any trouble to get ahold of.

Go to www.caspianarmsltd.com and order up a Carbon Steel basic receiver for $200, that way if you ever decide to build a custom 1911 you will have a frame to use for the build. If you change your mind later on, you can sell the frame and make $100+ for your trouble.
You will have to pay the FFL transfer when you buy the frame at your current location, and you will have to pay $19 per firearm to register whatever you bring here to the PRK, so you have to consider those two additional expenses.
