What is "CALGUNS Community Chapters (C3)"
OC C3 Chapter "Volunteers Needed"
CALGUNS Community Chapters (C3/CGSSA) Forums are here ;-) (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/forumdisplay.php?f=183)

The CALGUNS Community Chapters (C3) is simply the physical extension of CALGUNS web site. We strive to bring the Calgunner out from behind the keyboard and out to the range. We want the individual shooter to feel empowered to say “No” when a bill or legislation of some sort seeks to ban or limit our freedoms. So we work to bring California shooters together with other shooters to help build the CALGUNS Community outside of the internet, hopefully making the person feel less like an individual and more like the member of an extended family. Our goal is to build the community and then empower the community through education, family fun outings and training.

To this end we seek out volunteers to build local teams, similar to club chapters. The skill set we seek is fairly broad, we need: Your energy and desire to start something, we seek Project Manager types and Web Developers, we need logistic coordinators and photographers, we hope for volunteers that want to be involved and just need to know which direction to move, we need carpenters and electricians and most of all we just need you.

What is the C3: A group of volunteers

What is our goal: To bring the Calgunner out from behind the keyboard and out to the range

What is our purpose: To build the community and then empower the community through education, family fun outings and training

What do we need: We need more volunteers

Send me a PM or email if you have questions: PM Dark Paladin or Pennys Dad or jacob.rascon@gmail.com

What city does chapter 3 fall under?

We can use help just about anywhere. We are all over the state. We are broken down into chapters that cover counties or regions. Orange County covers everything in OC and some bigger events up at Burro, Raahauge's, etc.

Thanks for all the offers guys. The first thing you can all do to help is to come out and support Calguns at the various OC events we hold every month. Attendance at the South OC On Target shoot (2nd Fri of each month) and the new Artemis simulator shoot has been very low in recent months. We have new contests at the On Target shoot to allow you to win CalGuns swag. Come out, meet new friends, support the clubs. Also, don't forget the new OC reloading club and its events.

The first rule to winning is just showing up!

Hi there fellas!

I am a local OC resident and lived here my entire life. I got my first firearm when I was 18, a Savage model 11 in .243.

Now 9 years later, I have a lot more firearms and shoot fairly often.

I would definitely like to become more involved with the local CalGun community. Aside from being an obsessive researcher about guns, I am a professional photographer that shot for ESPN, Orange County Register, Fox Media, Huffington Post and a slew of other publications through out the world.

I hope to join up in the events in the future and provide some photographic documentation for our internet members.

If you are a certified NRA Rifle or Pistol instructor and would like to help out at future Women On Target events please contact me via PM.

We have dates secured at Burro Canyon throughout the rest of the year but need instructors to help out.

Thank you.

***Update: I got some clarification and not every volunteer instructor has to be an NRA certified instructor. As long as we have at least one NRA certified instructor that will satisfy their requirements. So if you are not NRA certified but would still like to volunteer for Women on Target events please PM me or email me at raymond.chiu(at)cgssa.org

I have worked these events and they are lots of fun! If you are an NRA instructor, Women On Target events do count towards your license credits.

I'm available to volunteer and willing to help out however I can to advance the civil liberties of gun ownership and self defense in our state.

I have lived in OC almost my whole life. I am a successful small business owner and entrepreneur so I like to think I have some business acumen that could be of use.

Regarding firearms, I am a big gun safety advocate--as was my uncle who taught me--and familiar with all types of firearms including ARs, bolt actions, revolvers, semis, etc. (except I don't do shot guns). I've taught all of my willing friends how to shoot and handle firearms responsibility, and I believe teaching is one of my strengths.

We have our own. It's a mix of NRA and Appleseed.
