This looks like an interesting list... does anyone know what it might be?

interesting, did you google any of the names? Are the lawyers/celebs/ businessmen that contribute to the sheriff?

List removed, we do not condone 'outing' CCW permit holders*.
This is the sort of list we get upset about when a newspaper publishes it, we don't need to follow their example.
*Exceptions are made in the case of evidence of CCW Permits being granted for financial or political recompense and only when such evidence is to be used to further the cause of equal issuance for all.

Based on the city listing and Kestryll's post, it appears to have been LA County's CCW list. Based upon Kestryll's post above, I will refrain from posting the list again.

I missed the original list. However, if it was indeed LA County's list, my understanding is that LA County is "discretionary" in their CCW issuance. In otherwords, unless you are a judge/lawyer/etc, or close to the sheriff, or have lots of money to contribute, OR are part of his church (not meant as a slap against a church), then you have ZERO chance to get a permit there.
Is it possible that possibly Kestryll will reconsider posting of this list?

Many of them were entertainment-industry.
+1 for not posting the list, even though I went through and googled some of the names.
No, I didn't save the URL. Don't PM me for it.

Sheriff Baca's unfair issuance policies deserve to be highlighted by exposure of who he issues to. Outing CCW holders in a shall issue state is a far cry from opening up public information for all to see. Let everyone see who the special people are and why Leroy gives them the privilege he denies to the vast majority of LA County's residents.

It is a matter of public records. If you really want to know you can find out.

Here is what some others have found doing a records review:
