I never really thought of it this way before, but truly he has a point.

Why did they even need to write it if it wasn't a right for the governed?

DC's collective rights position, taken to its logical conclusion, is that the right to bear arms exists only when the government allows it is in their own best interest that it exists, that we the people may bear arms only when serving the state.
