I heard on the radio today (David Gold on 560AM) that Jesse Jackson was at an "Oakland" gun store encouraging folks to boycott the store - I wasn't aware there were any gun stores in Oakland. Anyone have any further info?

Andreotti's is the name. There's also Castro Valley Gun - now Bullseye - in CV on Redwood.

I actually thought of Traders first - leave it to the Rev to boycott a gun store that doesn't actually sell guns.

I think we should go there and buy extra stuff, just to spite him :)

Calguns-should organize a gun buy or ammo buy from those stores when the protestors show up. Someone should call the media and tell them. The best way to end Jesse's stupid gun store boycotting is to show up in numbers and give them our business.

Agreed, I would love to put it in the face of that racist. :chris:

Excellent idea. I went to the PUSH website to see if any info was available but got the "page can not be displayed" message. If anyone can find out when or where these occur in the NorCal area I'd make a buy.

they still *could*, since their license, when I checked last time, is "under review".

but yeah, leave it to the rev for intelligence and relevance.

Be cool to get t-shirts made up that say J.J. is a gun racist??? Then you go in the store and buy tons of ammo and other stuff. :D

Unfortunately I'm in the LA area so cant do this, but if he makes it out this way, I would do it in a heart beat.

Jackson appears to have been in Chicago (http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=local&id=5499087) yesterday; of course, there are these neat inventions that just came out - aero-planes, or something like that ... He was apparently in SF on Friday (http://www.blackprwire.com/display-news.asp?id=3284).

Neither google nor yahoo news have anything about JJ in California Saturday.

I was reading his website, and I can't find anything about a protest in California. I will give them a call on monday and find out. They have been protesting outside a gunshop in Illinois. It seems like Jesse is lazy and doesn't like to travel. I found the gunshop's website but there is nothing for sell on it. It would be great to get people to start purchasing from this shop. I'd buy a couple boxes of ammo just to spite Jesse. If anyone wants to call the gunshop that has been taking Jesse's abuse here's their information.

So, let me get this straight. Jesse Jackson is asking people who don't believe in gun rights or the 2nd Amendment to boycott a store where they would never shop anyway because they don't believe in the individual's right to keep and bear arms?

It is amazing. Jesse Jackson has many times said that he does not trust government. Yet he wants to let the government be the only ones to have guns.
