Hey Art - glad you showed up - good times. I'll email you next time we head to Angeles for more precision shooting.

Nate - you missed the exploding cantalope's!!

Everyone with shotties lined up and I chucked the cantelopes into the air air they dissappeared into thin air.:43:

Glad to see everyone again - and meet some new people.

Our handloads appeared to chrono'ing very well. the 168 Silver Scenars came on top for some reason at just over 2900 FPS.
155 Silver Scenars were around 2855.
178 A-Max came in at 2750 FPS
175 Berger VLD was at 2780 FPS.

This is from memory - but believed to be accurate. Sorry about hitting the last edge of the chrono when we switched targets - I will buy that new piece Aaron. Should have viewed it better from the other end to verify target location and graph location.

Aaron let me shoot one of his Watermelon before I left. I watched that thing explode threw the scope. coolest thing ever :) That and Dora DVD case disintegrating. Who knew a 168 grain federal gold match would do that to a watermelon :D

BTW, sorry about this Budd

I honestly thought it was a range target stand :D

Hey Budd, you know why you hit the chrono.......it was the Super Sniper :) You need to get an IOR you will be fine :D

Bah, me and my crew didn't show up until 3:30pm due to girls taking forever to get ready to go anywhere!

Thankfully Paul was still there so we were able to setup some mini watermelons, honeydew melons, coconuts and lemons and blast them apart.

The new Hornady LeverEvolution 30-30 ammo was amazing. Even with my scope not having be re-zero'd I was pegging lemons and melons at the end of the berm. The Cowboy .45LC loads from Hornady were also really great as I managed to take out at least one lemon setup on a target stand at the end of the berm with my 1873 Cattleman revolver.

My wifes cousin brought her pre-ban Mini-14 with a 20 round mag which was alot of fun to cream melons with!

Unfortunately the range managers or whatnot made life a little difficult for Paul at the end of the day which kinda soured our short time there. But all in all we had a good time despite it being so short lived. Thanks again to Paul for sticking it out with us.

Dont you mean Tom? LOL

Yeah Im not sure if Ill ever go to Burro Canyon again....The guy that rides the quad around was a total *******....

Other than that we had a ton of fun....Making watermelosns explode was awesome....Aaron got a video o me stabbing a 10-12 pound watermelon with the bayonet on my mossberg 590a1 and blowing it up....Man it was a pain cleaning my shotgun when I got home....

It was a lot of fun though guys...

First all our ammo was buried in the back of a truckand he wanted inspect it....I told him it was buried and couldnt he just send a guy to your tack range to check it out as we unloaded....He said no....

Then after DJ Dace showed up me and Aaron were packing up we went down to get my licesne and credit card and wouldnt give it to me cause they were on the range....

The guy gave me way too much attitude and left a bad taste in my mouth....I wont be going back there

The way they were checking ammo I am pretty sure they would have a cow over tannerite.

Typical "gun nut", as AM calls them.

Hey.... did anyone "spray from their hips" and "continuously shoot without having to reload"???

What?, are you kiddin'??
Once the triggers are pulled, there's no stoppin' them guns.
The bullets were flowing like water from a hose.
Banks closed, riots and anarchy ensued, Barbara Fineswine took to her bunker and the meek inherited the earth.
You didn't hear about it?

Oh, and yeah, there was some bump firing too.

Damn! Sounds like you guys had a great time.

I wish you guys had read the range report I did on Burro.

I had the same problem with the guy on the quad. Big time A**hole!
