Unless you have a real problem with the height of the scope now, I wouldn't raise it 1/2" an inch. It looks like it's sitting about the height it should right now.

You are going to scare some hippies with that rifle. Nice build!

Just got back from Concord and put a hundred rounds thru her. Here are some of the groupings at 100yds using unmatched reloads of 24gr +/-.3 of IMR 4064 and Honardy 55gr SPs. My breathing sucks and I couldn't calm the **** down. Maybe I was just excited with the new rifle.:gunsmilie:

Yeah I didn't like it. I like having my lower cheek on the buttstock.

Thanks guys.

Yes I have considered the Larue but was just out of my budget for a rail system. The GS1 and the Burris tactical rings cost me around $120ish and I like the way the GS1 covers the top all the way to the charging handle.

I'm gonna try the Sierra 65g BT GameKings. That's the best thing about reloading is you get to customize your rounds. I just hate doing brass preparation..

Unfortunately my rail had already shipped out, otherwise I would take your offer.

The M4 has a cheapo Baraska 4x20, but she has held 0 even after 700 rounds.:)

That rifle is a good looking one :D I just ordered my second OLL from LAN World and am thing of setting up my rifle like your Stag 1, but with maybe an A2 buttstock. Still have some thinking to do though.

Ah ok. I can understand that. The Larue leaves the back open for a BUIS. If you don't put one on that full rail will look more "finished."

I have a RRA 24" and can't miss the far range small pig (550 or 600yds?) with cheap ammo... and I mean real cheap -- Wolf. I'm certain yours will be the same. The recoil is nice, too. At 12X I still have to reset, but rarely out of field of view. The more I shoot the .223, the more I'm impressed by how good of a round it is. Of course, my targets don't shoot back. :D

Everything you see + the missing GS1 rail, transfer fee, dros, tax on the LWR for under $1650 from 5 different online stores. I got the complete upper on sale from MidWayUSA for $499. I got the 1/8 twist cause I'm gonna single feed this badboy with an 80gr bullet in the future if it'll fit.

The thing I noticed right away with the rifle buffer is the ringing noise it makes. It's kinda annoying at first. The carbine buffer sounds more solid.

BTW, she's 13.1lbs and may reach over 13.5lbs after the GS1 install. The M4 is 7.8lbs with the 10/30 mag.

This is usually the first observation that first-time AR shooters make.
After a few thousand rounds, it won't bother you anymore.
You won't even notice it anymore, except when you DON'T hear it (time to reload).

First couple of shots, I thought I installed something backwards.:90:
