View Full Version : !0/22 Takedown, UTG Bug Buster, eye relief?

Is anyone here using the latest version UTG Bug Buster (SCP-M392AOLWQ) on their 10/22 Takedown?

It's 8.1" in length and I'm wondering how the eye relief would be on the TD.

There are no local retailers around here that carry it and I'd like to avoid the hassle of buying one and then having to return it because it's too compact.

At 8.1" I know I could fit it in the case okay but I don't want to sacrifice a good target view just for the expediency of the scope fitting in the case.

Thanks Dave.

How was the eye relief? I'm just afraid that the rear eyepiece might be too far from my eye to get a good sight picture without sliding my cheek way up the stock towards the scope.

Can you picture what I'm trying to ask? (I hate talking about scopes online because I'm never sure of the correct terminology or how to express what I'm trying to say in an understandable manner).

You are asking about Eye Relief.
Eye relief for that scope is 4.2-3.2"
You can move the scope forward or back on the rail to adjust for you.
It should be fine.

I had a BB.

The stated eye relief is IMO incorrect. It was more like 2" for me. Good thing for Amazon return policy.

Have that setup on my 1022 (bugbuster). The eye relief was too far forward for me.
So I bought a reverse rail that allows you to mount the scope farther back about 1.5".
Only company that offed it was http://www.qualtac.com/
