Assembly in session right now 2300 hrs Thursday 07/18

for those of you who are hacks or wonks, the State Assembly is supposedly in session for the past couple of hours, but has spent all of that time in "caucus".

The Budget is the name and getting a minimum of 6 GOP Members to vote "aye" is the game. (2/3 required )

Once this budget thing is whipped, you will all be safe until the legislature returns from recess on August 20th.

I have no predictions, no insider stuff, but you can go to the assembly website and get the audio to the assembly floor/chambers. you wont hear anything if they are in caucus.

included in the part of the budget that they are currently debating, is the DOJ reorganization we have been discussing here recently.

Language that funds the DOJ also refers to gambling and firearms bureaus to be subordinate to the division of law enforcement. So I guess it official.

the specific langauge is not going to be available online for a couple of days. It should be SB 78, maybe 79.. ill post it when its online.

Its midnight and im still not certain if we will have a state budget or not.
