Oh wow! Yeah, the notice that proposed regulatory changes were going to happen has been removed too! That must have been removed in the last 24 hours or so!

how much you wanna bet that some n00b will still manage to find it on a google cache or something, and ask about it here?

Does anyone have a copy of the proposed regulatory changes that was taken down from the DOJ website at approx.0900am 7-19-2007 ?

So far so good.

Paperwork's one thing, now the BoFfers need their arses handed to them for recent Iggy actions.

I don't think Will Cid has a full handle one what's going on and I think we'll still have to hammer on him.

As a new manager, he's gonna have to assert his authority over his group and stop letting them run wild.

I hope somebody is copying these "regulations" and notices for historical (and for litigation) purposes. Who is the official "Calguns OLL Historian" again?:D

Neither. Will Cid is the new manager of the DOJ BoF who replaces Randy Rossi.

And what happened to Randy Rossi?

Randy Rossi has retired.

He had a going away party in Sen. Jack Scott's office several weeks ago.

I'm assuming that the BOF took the memos down after a talking to from the OAL, which was itself a result of the petition from Gene and probably TMLLP as well.

If this is the case, will there be a written response or statement of some kind from the OAL explaining their official position on the proposed rulemaking?

Are their communications with the BOF subject to disclosure?

I also wonder if the OAL acted solely on APA violations (rulemaking time was up, etc) or did they act due to the underground regulation aspect and the unsupportable interpretation of the law by the BOF?

The fact that they didn't even update the Nov 2001 AWIDG after the Supreme Court ruling on Harrott vs Kings County.... they probably won't do ANYTHING for just a "erroreous notice" and some "proposal"...

OK Gene Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves the Deletion of a memo listed below from the State DOJ website

http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/forms/pdf/awguide.pdf

As always, should you or any of your IM force be caught or killed,, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This tape will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck, Gene.

Sam,

They've got Penal Code support for that document - even though its wrong.

That doc isn't worth much of a fight. There is a better way to solve that particular problem.

OK then make them update Roberti Roos factoring in Harrot.

They took the inappropriate image of the Automat Kalashnikov off the BOF logo too- maybe was sending the wrong message.

Who thinks this won't change or affect the activities of the field agents on little bit?

Are you saying that Roberti Roos is null and void where Harrot changes it with its language ?

Now if we could just get ColdWarShooters to remove their link to the now 404 DOJ link... :D

So is this some tacit admission that OLL's are legal?

hoffmang
07-19-2007, 10:57 PM
It's a pretty direct admission that a modification to a semi automatic rifle to render it a fixed and therefore not a "detachable magazine" magazine rifle does not need to be permanent.

OK then make them update Roberti Roos factoring in Harrot.

That would be funny, because it sez "Colt AR-15 series". So, with Harrot the Colt SP-1 is legal as long as the pistol grip is off or the mag fixed...:43:

No, a SP1 is still marked Colt AR-15 and would be banned.

Ah but does the SP1 without the happy hole have the same markings ?

The application of harrot that I was talking about is where Roberti Roos uses the language Make: (name of mfg) Model: All.
