It's on J near 24th in the old Cornerstone location. I was in there for 2 minutes today and had a quick conversation with the nice guy behind the counter. They had a wide variety of stuff. Old school revolvers, C&R pistols and Long Guns, a couple AR platform guns, a .44 Desert Eagle and the usual XDs, Glocks and Berettas. I saw some shotguns and C&R rifles on the wall next to the ARs and a few bolt guns. I am informed that they will be a full service FFL and will do consignment sales and will sell ammo and all types of gear and guns.

Cool ! I'm tired of hiking all over hell and gone for ammo. How's the parking? Downtown tends to be a mess. I guess you could call 24th & J "midtown" but street parking is still tough.

While looking for the website I found an article (http://www.sacramentopress.com/headline/69812/City_to_ponder_new_law_regulating_gun_store_locati ons)regarding gun stores and the Council. Something for NorCal to keep and eye and maybe get to some meetings.
Here is announcement article (http://www.sacramentopress.com/headline/69487/Gun_store_coming_to_Midtown) about the store coming.
Another good article says 185 gun stores (http://www.sacbee.com/2012/07/12/4625510/number-of-gun-shops-up-in-sacramento.html) in and around Sacramento.
About 185 gun dealers and manufacturers are based in Sacramento, Yolo, Placer and El Dorado counties, an increase of 13 percent from 2010, according to the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

i stopped by yesterday and they didnt have much. they are still in the process of opening. They dont even have the stuff to give HSC tests yet. Very limited stock of guns and ammo too. I talked with the guy there for a bit and he did seem nice.
I have no idea how this shop will survive though with all the other shops that have tons more selection and all with in 30 minutes driving distance from it. Im just really tired of going to RCGE and having to deal with the crappy service and many of rude customers they have. Im in the market for a compact carry type and a lower receiver so I am planning to see what they can do for me. If they can get me what I want at a fair price I have no problems ordering from them.
