I am looking for a hard case to carry 2 rifles & also some handguns when going to the range. Something nice that is affordable. Your input would be appreciated. Thank you

Plano is the most affordable hardcase but ya might think of going voodoo tactical double soft case it's what alot of us use. I don't remember paying over $46 for mine but here's a link to onecarry my Ar, Shotgun 2 pistols and gear in mine when I go. I also use the cart as that weighs a buttload LOL. I have a backpack I keep the Ammo, cleaning supplies, targets and all the accesories in.

I like to take several guns to the range and stuffing them in individual bags gets a little cumbersom.. add in having to lock each case and it's an even bigger pain.
Found a local company called the Case Club and their main deal are Pelican cases with custom cut inserts.. nice, but pretty expensive. After digging through thier site I found just what I was looking for.
This way I can transport 4 guns to the range in one case.. with one lock and it will make it easy to switch between guns. It also holds 8 extra mags and has another area for small stuff. They say it will hold revolvers (and has two round slots for speed loaders, but my GP1000 with a four inch barrel was too long so it would have to be smaller revolvers.
My Les Baer 1911 "JUST" fits... so nothing bigger than that. The price out the door was $103 which is great considering the custom cut foam. Quality of the Seahorse case is great and has a lifetime warranty.
I will no longer fear the school zone.. lol
Anyways, just thought I would pass it along. They are located in north Anaheim.

I like my condor 42" lockable. Fits two rifles and two pistols. Takes a man to carry it tho.

I wonder if the SE-1220 would be deep enough for the 5" 1911 I assume so. How would you go about getting the insert like the one you have? Sorry to hijack the thread but that's a nice case lol. Though they do have templates and cases for AR's that's a nice site my friend +10 to this find. This would be a nice addition to the vendor area.

Check out the Voodoo Tactical cases. I was looking for a case a few months ago and I had the same requirements as you - I wanted to take a couple rifles/couple handguns to the range, but didn't want to spend too much on a case. While the Voodoo case cost a little more than other double rifle cases I looked at, I have no regrets. Both the rifle and handgun pouches are lockable, lots of pockets for extra magazines/accessories, high quality.
