10% in Taft, Fort Courage Armory in Simi and I'll bet there are some other stores that sell ARs or Carbon 15's. I don't know about any others.

I'd suggest doing it all over the internet though. The only thing you can't do yourself is the lower receiver, that must go through someone that holds an FFL. That could be tricky if you have no one local. But find someone close who will transfer your lower. Order a lower parts kit and an upper that you like directly to your door. Order anything else custom that you want and start building. ARs are very very easy to put together.

I bought my Carbon 15 from Greta's in Simi, I doubt they have em in. I love the Carbon 15, I opened the magwell and installed a magazine lock and added some evil features. But that is the reason I suggest you do it over the internet you can customize right there on the internet and don't have to order new parts every now and then.

IMHO a Carbon-15 isn't an AR15

I have two of them, one has a RRA A2 midlength upper on it, shoots very nice with zero problems. I'm still waiting for stress fractures to appear as some have reported but I've yet to experience any. If a problem did occur, Bushmaster customer service is top notch and I'm sure they would swap it out in a heartbeat. They are light, accurate as hell and fun to shoot.
