It's a .22lr inside a really nice airsoft body. They use Savage 64's and Stevens 62's in addition to 10/22's.

He wanted them to look like a MP5, so he built a kit for them.

Ratters got it right, I believe, with the "Airsoft" label. Basically it looks like someone gutted out a ABS Airsoft and installed the rifle. Now these are being made and sold as kits for conversion of your .22 rifles into "MP5s". They still use any and all factory/aftermarket mags made for them (ie Ruger 10/22 or Stevens 64 mags).

While I can see someone wanting to do this just because they could, I just don't see the appeal in it for commercial purpose.....maybe I'm just getting too old!
