Just curious if anyone has any experience with the Lothar Walther very, very light stainless AR barrel.

Awesome concept. I wonder how much they actually weigh?

It reminded me of what JP does with their barrels and their thermal dissipator. At the front of a JP barrel it is a bull barrel profile but under the handguard is .650" (a little thicker than a pencil barrel). An aluminum thermal dissipator is clamped over the part under the handguard. I'm assuming the LW barrel is tight fit between the aluminum and steel parts. Both great ways to keep the barrel cool due to aluminum thermal conductivity.

While it is not the barrel you are looking at, I have one of their medium contour barrels custom cut in Ruger 204. The barrel is extremely accurate, a little heavy due to the length, very durable and fit/finish are impeccable. If it is in your price range, go for it.

Looking at the price, I don't think the very very light and ultra light barrels are the same thing.

I bet the very very light is their version of a pencil barrel.
