Silver Bear .308

Just a heads up.

I myself have not used it and still have 3000 rounds of SA left so no need for me to pick some up. BUt 30 cents a round seems like a really good deal these days.

The only thing bad I heard about Silver Bear (on the FAL forum) is that it is a bit underpowered (2440 fps), but it seems to feed and fire ok.

It is magnetic, for those of us in CA that care.

It's official: I'm not getting a .308 gun until I learn to reload.

The problem with that is some of the coolest rifles are .308, AR-10's, FAL's, Mark14's, HK-91's, etc... Are you going to deny yourself those weapons? Maybe get them but don't shoot them as much? Shoot more 223 and 22LR until surplus .308 shows up again! Also when you shoot less your rifle will be more valuable ;)

Unless you're buying Wolf ammo, cheap .223 is about that price, too. Do you own an AR? I recently bought 1,000 rounds of .223 for $308 including shipping and that was considered a good deal.

Just food for thought. :o
