I believe that their $198 barrel is a Wilson Barrel.. they are excellent barrels and I plan on using ine when my current Service rifle barrel is shot out by the end of this year.

According to the White Oak Precision FAQ (WOA is a division of WOP):

The WOA barrels are Wilson blanks that I have turned and chambered to my specs by Frank White. Frank has the equipment to do this work much faster than I can which allows me to spend my time making WOP uppers. We all know Frank does great work so my customers get a top quality workmanship. Not only that, but when you buy a WOA upper you are also supporting CLE which keeps the money in the HP community.

The quality of the finished Wilson barrels by CLE are excellent. I was amazed at how little copper fouling I get in my WOA service rifle upper. I actually have to use Montana Xtreme 50BMG solvent to get any trace of copper and there's hardly any copper to remove.

On the other hand, the SPR barrel on complete upper I bought from Adco which used all WOA parts did copper foul quite a bit. I'm not sure how well the WOA SPR barrel was finish lapped.

Here's some teaser pictures to make you want to buy a WOA upper: http://www.ocabj.net/gallery/woa_sr_upper

My SPR barrel is GREAT. I've got that directly from CLE. It is their Douglas barrel.

I sent my old CMP upper back to Compass Lake Engineering on the 5th of July. It was put in the mail yesterday coming back to me;) That's good turnaround:) The price was $421.00 I went with CLE because some of the folks I shoot with have had minor problems with the White Oak barrels:eek: Cheap is expensive, and Expensive is cheap:cool: Should have it on Monday. I will break it in with finishing bullets from Bronnels.

They shoot pretty good.

Mine doesn't copper-foul much either.

Plus you get the free T-shirt and pens!

(schwag is always good for an extra "ooooh!" when you open the box)

EDIT: prolly 100yds..... the X-ring should be larger @ 6.... :-)Heheh, I knew I shouldn't have posted that... :) Yeah, that's 100 yards. That target is not your usual 100 yard target (I don't think so anyway). At the top it says: "NRA Official 100-yard Small Bore Target" or something like that. That's what our club uses for "Service Rifle" matches.

Damn Jon, I think I've said this before, but you could really put somebody's eye out with that thing. At 200m!

I went to CLE straight with my 18" mid length port 1 in 7 barrel on Douglas blanks. Couldn't be happier, after I found the bullet weight it liked. :)

It probably took him 100rds to get the zero before he put that new target up:p
No kidding Jon that's some good shooting. I was lucky this last match and got a 194-8x in the rapid sitting. but I also shot a 7-8-9 for that missed 6 points:mad:The 7 and 8 were opposit each other at 5 and 11:confused: I guess I just need to keep working on it.

I just recently finished assembling my WOA Complete Upper, and I can't wait to shoot it. Started out as a WOA Varmint upper, http://www.whiteoakarmament.com/
wilson air-gauged match barrel, Wylde chamber, WOA cut the barrel to 16 inches, installed, timed, and blended a Bennie Cooley brake, M4 ramp cuts. I placed the order at the beginning of May and was told it would be about 8 weeks. Just caressing and fondling it is worth the wait

Lower is a Dalphon with JP modular trigger and standard A2 stock.

I plan on using it for PPC rifle, tactical rifle soon, and 3 gun soon.:43:

White Oak Armament builds nice stuff. John Hollinger is a top-notch shooter and knows what is needed and what is not. Our club ordered 4 spaceguns from him, with Wilson barrels. I broke them in and tested them with factory ammo. They all easily held 10-ring, and probably better. For best accuracy, would probably go with a Krieger. Also have a couple of CLE's with Kriegers and one with a Pac-Nor and they easily hold X-ring. Talk with John and he will steer you right.
