I'm sure others will chime in here, but I've heard mixed reviews on Florida Gun Works. What I've read is that they aren't very timely in delivery and that others have had "less than" experiences with them.

From what I read, Most if not all of the bulgarian kits were made in russia. The cool part about the 74 kit is if you find a matching kit the bayonet is matching too.:D
I'm pretty sure the rpk74 kits are russian/molot made.
I read that some of the kits are not matching #'s. If you find out let me know. I want a rpk-74 kit/rifle. :)

frontman, is there a way to fix the stock on the AK74S? i kind of like the fixed stock, making sure i keep it away from under 30 inches

you could weld it, or pin it. The pin would look cleaner imho, and be easier to remove if the rifle was to move out of state. Either way, it is not hard. If you like the folding option, you could always put on a barrel extender to bring it over the 30 inches folded and fix the mag.

i'll be checking into the pin option, if it's reversible. but yeah i cant see myself welding it on permenently. :)

its description says replacement parts kit. In my exp, this usually means all parts that might wear/be easily replaced. What this (most likely) WONT come with is barrel, bolt, carrier and sometimes a stock.

found a source for onyks parts for a tantal conversion..
I got a quote for $950. you would still need to keep the barrel length original. Don't know if the threads of the front sight are the same to use extensions.

Yea that's a bit expensive. Great if you absolutely must have something unique, but otherwise just get a Bulgarian krink kit.

But hey, if you can get that Polish guy to import about a hundred of those gas blocks over here I'm sure they'd sell like hotcakes...
