I finally bought a decent front rest (the Caldwell Rock one).

I cannot find a good rear bag. I want one which is thick enough to support an AR with an A2 stock but actually lets you seat the butt.

Any recommendations?

The Triad rear bags are probably one of the most popular.

Also, for bench shooting, I really like the protecktor rear rest, it'll be bigger but it really stabilized the rifle for benchrest type shooting.

Protektor. They will last forever and solid.

Shooting your AR from the bench....these are awesome. I put them on two of my AR's that still have A2 butts.

For bags, as mentioned, Protektor if you're of the Champagne taste, beer budget. Or, the Cadillac/Mercedes (whatever) is Edgewood bags.

I have several Protektor's, the "Bumble Bee Dr bag" and the "Loaf" bags, leather with nylon bunny ears are very heavy and provide a nice, stable shooting platform. They will make custom bags as well if you have something in mind.

+1 for Triad
The protektor is something more for a benchrest gun that is going to be fired from one fixed position. The triad is more suitable for all purpose/tactical shooting.

This Tab Gear bag from rifles only is my favorite by far

Everyone that has used mine has ended up buying one for themselves. Also riflesonly is a great company to deal with!
