So I finished my light weight build and the comp I placed on the end of my 14.5" DD light weight is making the gun really front heavy (Go Gun super comp). Looking for something that will do a reasonable job of compensating (gun is like 5 lbs seriously so there's nothing to absorb recoil) and is the 1.5" for legal length but not so front heavy. Any reccs?????

I just got an XTC yesterday, and installed it this morning. I decided to go with a blem to save a few bucks. Looks like a nice comp, haven't shot it yet but it doesn't ping like a vortex does when you play around with it.

I was wondering the same thing the other day. Does anybody know of a brake/comp that will reach 16" pinned that doesn't resemble a flash hider? I'd like to go featureless/pinned 14.5 with a lightweight muzzle device also. Thanks!

Not to thread jack, but was the blem noticeable? i was thinking of picking one up but wasn't sure if i should or stick with the regular (non blem).
Rainier RMC ?

I second this, they're designed to be as lightweight and small as possible yet still very functional.

also come in stainless if you like that as well.

If this is for a 14.5" barrel, I do not believe the RMC will work...too short. Have you considered the BattleComp 1.5? It is just a few hairs over 2 oz.

yup your right, totally forgot the OP mentioned a 14.5" barrel, the RMC is 1.437" :( BattleComp is sweet, pricey though.

Honestly not sure i have found it yet. Haven't seen a non blemished one to compare it against, but if i had to guess i would just say the finish on it isn't perfect.

This is what I have, very minimalist, about same diameter as barrel.

but I next time I will definitely go with the Rainer Arms RMC, just think of how much weight you can save as "self defense prongs" replace the bayonet

I was just looking at that Nordic comp. Specs say its 1.75" long. I'm guessing it's barely long enough with a 14.5" barrel and crush washer to be legal. Can anybody confirm this?

My blemished one was pretty jacked up, but I still love it.

Now I don't baby my rifle, so the rest of it is starting to look blemished like the brake.

Is there a list of weights on the different muzzle devices, similar to that Google doc sheet with different rails/hand guards?

You could email/call the Nordic comp guys. Usually very responsive. I'll prolly ask the same and how much it weighs. Fwiw the go gun supercomp no talon does work really well IMO (not that I have a ton of experience) but its just making the rifle front heavy

measured from outside with a peel washer my nordic comp is 1 11/16"
the 16" barrel from bolt face using dowel measures 17 1/2"
so looks like it would be close but could probably make it work, but if would be close

Awesome that sounds like it will be perfect!
