And I really like it!

Went from a standard S&W M&P15 M4 style stock to an MOE stock.....

ACS has an extra inch LOP, which is nice for me since I'm kind of big, and also has no wobble at all. Also, my RDS is on a cantilever mount so the weight of the rifle is really front-heavy while using the standard stock....the extra few ounces on the ACS really helps to balance the rifle out more.

Cheek weld is much improved over both other stocks....

I know its old news, but I am just happy.

The battery compartments are a bonus.

Any other ACS users?

Plan on going with the FDE ACS stock myself and another grip so your
other items wont work but nice offer.

I just installed one onto my 3-gun rifle. It was a shame to drill a brand new stock, but I had to pin it to make my rifle featureless.

To late now but google is your friend. There is a way to pin them without drilling. You basically block the adjustment pin from moving.

Yup, great stock. And another cool thing, you can accesorize it just like a!

1. QD attachment
2. Extra thick buttpad
3. Store stuff

It wont be your last lol. My M&P15 went from the stock one to a CTR, then ACS, then Emod, and now the STR(which is the best for me so far).

love mine. Check weld is in the perfect place for me.

I went with the ACS-L and STR .... They are all great stocks including the ACS.

Magpul sure does make some nice stuff. I think to date my favorite Magpul stock I’ve used has been the PRS.

ACS is awesome. Extension pad is good as well for even better LOP adjustment if needed.

Have to agree, both my AR's wear one.

added a cheap rail:

despite the weight, it's constructed quite nicely and adds a good 4" to the standard carbine guard

cool, who makes the rail / how much?

GMG from amazon.com $50

i'm sure i'll get flak and airsoft comments from this, but it's actually quite nice. Nowhere near as nice or lightweight as the DD extended carbine A2 FSB counterpart, but you don't have to chop off your D ring to fit it and its around $250 less

It’s cool, comparing it to do DD rail isn’t an apples to apples comparison anyways as the DD rail would be free floated, which has its own advantages.

For $50 it should serve its purpose, the biggest advantage in your case is you are still using the A2 front sight. I would probably have given you a little flak if I saw an optic or folding sight mounted to that rail…

To me, 16" with carbine gas looks weird. I didn't think about it until after I bought the rifle....would have done things differently if i had thought about it more. So this was my cheap solution.

If it works, great. If not, then oh well.

I also wanted to try out my AFG. I bought it a while ago to use on my 10/22. I always wanted to try it on an AR, but it was pointless on my carbine guard.

this way i can *try* to use it the way its meant to be used.

although i have to extend the stock all the way for it to work

this one would have been pretty good too

again, i didn't want to have to chop off the D ring in case I hated it later

I've used the ACS on my carbine for two years now. It does its job admirably - the needed length (I'm 6'4") and counterweight (for a somewhat front heavy carbine).

That being said, there are two trade offs. First, it is unnecessarily wide - I know the width allows for a nice cheek rest, but it feels bulky to me. Second, it wobbles even when the friction lock is engaged. I have a CTR on my DMR and it has neither of these problems.

I have this for my upcoming build which is essentially the same:

Thinking of the ACS-L for my next build. I've done the MOE and CTR already and like the idea of a different (better) cheek weld and have no need for the battery compartments.
