ZM Weapons' LR300 is on the The California OFF-List.

If I purchase a California Legal AR15 and a LR 300-SR conversion kit, could I combine the two and create a California Legal LR300?

of course. The only thing that matters is the lower and you follow the rules of length and locked mag (if you have a pistol grip, foldiing stock or flash hider).

We sold 2 complete direct impingement uppers from ZM Weapons at our store but you can not put the folding stock on the rifle as it would violate the 30" minimum! We had to put on a 5.5 inch extended CAR type flashhider in place of the A2 flash hider to be able to use the side folding stock feature.

So be careful!

there was a guy selling a kit on this site not to long ago which pretty much consisted of the complete upper and folding stock. for what it was he had a decent price too although I cant remember exactly what it was.

Would replacing the A2 flash hider with the 5.5 inch extended CAR type flashhider affect performance at all?
