Just finished my Latest AR pistol build. The trick with this build was everything was purchased in Washington State while I was a resident there and configured to be CA compliant (while still looking BAD AS*). This thing is made up from the following:

Spikes tactical Lower
Olympic Arms 9mm Upper
Spikes Pistol Buffer tube
Wilson Combat 3T TTU single stage AR trigger
BAD *** Ambi safety selector
Spikes Winter trigger gaurd
radlock bullet button
1911 AR grips
Crusader grips
sightmark & magpul flip up
Firsch 4" free float handle

Almost done I only need to wrap the buffer tube in Para cord and sight it in. FYI all mags have been neutered to 10 rounds but still look hicap. What else should I add for my latest range toy?

Looking really nice. Personally, I would leave it as is and NOT hang any more crap off of it assuming you have an effective sling for it? I use a single point on mine, works great.

+1 the grips are a little much too.

Edit- I hope that's not a 30rd mag.

I didn't catch that my bad.

The only thing I would add is a 1 point sling.

few things come to mind, why is this in the rifle section?
Why would you need a asap plate on a pistol? wear it like a necklace?
whats on the end of the buffer tube?

neat pistol anyways.

Hope you front sight doesn't melt to that gas block! It should since that upper is blowback

Nope blocked 30rd mag now only accepts 10 rds. Olympic arms does not sell 10rd mags for their upper.
I thought the Wilson combat trigger was going to be too much but I like the look of the 1911 grips over the magpul.

Looks great. That pistol buffer tube is crying out for a rubber cover though:

Good point I was looking at a set of Troy back up sights. I found a pair from a member here hopefully he will cut me a deal.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yes I had YOUR buffer tube cover on one before but this one I am going to add a ParaCord wrap.

Nice build. I think the reason it is in centerfire rifles is because almost all of the AR pistol posts end up in here. I don't fault him, I have done the same thing several times. ;)

Although a necklace is a great idea getting this thing gold plated is a bit too much. I would rather use it in a conceal and carry bag like the one below.

What's the total length of this thing?

seattletocali
10-13-2012, 7:29 PM
The Overall length is 22.5 Inches. I already had a lengthy inquiry into minimum Barrel length for AR pistols. Turns out if you were to DROS an AR pistol through a CA dealer minimum barrel length is 7.5 inches. If you already own the pistol and are bringing it into CA there is no Minimum barrel length. here is the discussion for anyone interested

Awesome looking pistol man! I am not a fan of the grip, but in no way saying it's bad. It just isn't my style. As for the rest? Hell ya!

I'm really diggin the full size 1911 grips plus I can swap out the grips for any design or material. Plus I have tried Magpul pistol grips and while ergonomically perfect, I thought I would add a little more to this range toy. I was really into the "Umbrella Corporation" grips only they were out so i settled for these.
