OK, bought a yugo m59/66 out of state recently and it has the GL on it. I took it to a gun smith in Florida and they said they could remove it and leave the threads exposed. Or They can cut it off and recrown. Is this a good option for legally bringing it back home to cali?
thanks for your input

Just leave the GL off and the threads intact.

They used to make a muzzle brake for it- I don't remember who, but it was a rough copy of the AK74 brake.

You can get a CA legal TAPCO muzzlebrake for $20. I just did while waiting for my M59/66 to arrive at my Dealer in NV, so he can make it CA legal.

MB would be cheaper!

OR just get a Russkie, Norinco, Romanian, etc.
