I just purchased a 6-24x50 Nikon Monarch scope for my Howa 1500 .308 and wanted too see what everyone's opinions for the best scope rings and base are.
EGW makes or made a 20 MOA base that fits.
If you want to shoot long range, a base with slope built in will allow you to use more of the center of your elevation travel.
If long range isn't a concern, two piece bases might be more your style.
Then there are rings, you would have to try a whole bunch before you even have a slightly informed opinion.
I would first look at your cheek weld and eye relief to see exactly where you want your scope, then look for a solution that will put it there.

EGW. Just order from them. Dont buy cheapo rings. If your scope moves just once the scratches will really make you sick. I like Burris rings. They make some that use 6 bolts on each ring. Overkill but thats me.
