So Costa Ludus facebook page said

"In its purest form, Costa Ludus Carbine Employment 01 and Handgun Employment 01 are not courses designed for the novice shooter. Most that attend the classes are somewhat knowledgeable on their weapon platform. In an effort to bridge this gap, the curriculum in Stephen Pineau's Level 1 classes are truly designed to build the basics. It is a great prerequisite to attend a Costa Ludus course and is Beard approved. There are still some slots open for the October 21st Century Gunfighter, LLC. classes. Stephen will also be the Assistant Instructor to the upcoming Costa Ludus classes in TX and future classes elsewhere. If you need a reputable training course on your record to get into other training courses, this is a great start. If you've already signed up for the Costa Ludus classes, this is a great warm-up to them.

Beard's Admin No.2"

For those who are somewhat familiar with AR platforms but want to really get down the basics before taking it to the next level of Costa Ludus training.

I sent a message to 21stGF saying calguns has lots of members and he might get some people who are willing to take his course if he came to California.

Just to get a poll anyone up for it?
I dont have any details just this minute as to cost and such as their website is under reconstruction. http://www.21cg.us/

But there is a poll so we can get an idea which I will send him this link to get an idea.

I think if we knew the price it would determine if we would take the class or not..

I know I would if it was cheap enough just for the hell of it and an excuse to take the guns out.

This is for the big boys, not your average day of plinking at the range. You get dirty and learn to use your AR. I sent Stephen a message about some more info.

Just to get an Idea, Costa Ludus carbine courses run about 665$ for a 3 day course and requires 1800 rds minimum of .223 / 5.56 and 100 rds of pistol.

Uh...A, B and C. The most critical thing is money, obviously. I don't think I've ever owned more than 500 rounds at a time...

My thing is about taking a carbine or any tactical rifle course is the BB...

That takes out about half of the class they teach... And that 1800 rounds is going to last a LOT longer in a BB rifle than a free state rifle.. And not everyone runs featureless'. That's my biggest question is what changed and is taught from the BS rifle restrictions on CA rifles and some what is a deterrent to spending big money on a class when half the stuff they yeah they have to throw out.

I'd assume they would give extra pistol training or something.. I hope they don't have tactical BB changes lol

1800 rds...now that sounds like some fun! Like CK 32 said though, the BB would be the only thing that would stop me, because the BB basically puts limitations on the full experience of a course like that.

I would love to but I don't have the money for tuition or ammo.

For anyone who does go, get your ammo on stripper clips and a strip lula.

The best I can do is watch from the sidelines and scrounge up the used stripper clips at the end of the day.

True, but there were some calgunners who took the carbine classes from magpul before in California with bullet buttons along side with LEO's and military with full 30rd'ers.

Maybe he can work with us calgunners with our 10 rd mags and bullet buttons or featureless rifles.
Training makes you better especially with what we have.

I've never taken a class with 21CGF but consider them good dudes. Having shot with them on the 3-gun circuit, I can say that they're excellent shooters, both Josh and Stephen. I wish them the best of luck in this rapidly crowding training market.

OP, good luck with the recruitment of students and accompanying range logistics. It takes work for all of that to happen!

PS. They are also on YouTube so check out their channel as I know they put a lot of work into it.
