Greetings everyone. I'm new to this forum. I live in Riverside County and have for my entire life. I was born and raised in the great state of California, and as much as I love my state it isn't the friendliest state towards firearm owners and enthusiasts.

I grew up around firearms my uncle was a FFL Dealer when I was growing up and I shot competitively as a youth. My uncle was also an avid outdoorsman and hunter and took me on my first varmint and deer hunting trips.

As an adult I spent my younger years focused on other things, but after my Uncle passed away a few years back I started to really miss being around someone who appreciates and enjoys shooting all types of firearms. So now I am 34 and just starting my firearm collection, but better late than never.

So far I have:
Ithaca 16 Gauge Pump Action Shotgun
S&W model 586 .357Mag 4" Barrel
Ruger SR40 Blued finish (Still waiting to pick this up cv;) )
Currently Working on my first AR-15 Build (Lower Receiver also in the waiting period)

I'll be getting a larger caliber big game rifle in the future as well as a couple more shotguns. I want a tactical and a hunting 12 gauge. I'll probably be getting my wife a gun specifically for her as well, not sure what kind yet.

Anyway, that's me and what's up with me right now. I will start a thread with pics to document my AR build. I figured what better place to join up than CalGuns since I live in CA! Glad to be here and looking forward to meeting and getting to know everyone on the boards. :seeya:

Hey thanks for the warm welcome! I appreciate it.

@MET1 Greetings from a county over! I can't wait for the local outdoor open ranges to be opened up for shooting once fire danger is lower. There aren't enough places to shoot around here anymore.
