View Full Version : ATI strikeforce stock (buffer tube help)

Okay so I have a SW MP 15 Sport and the buffer tube assembly on it is "milspec"
I ordered the ATI strikforce stock and it is "Commercial"
My question is do I just need to buy the Hybrid Buffer tube, or do I need the whole assembly to prevent short stroking etc.
Total NOOB move on my part, but it is my first AR
Thanks in advance.

Don't downgrade your tube to commercial to make it fit a stock.
And for the record commercial and milspec buffer tubes still use the same springs and buffers
I have heard that commercial stocks will fit onto a milspec buffer tube but that it will be loose and possibly rattle
Why ATI anyways? They are bottom level quality...

Rigorous honesty- because it was cheap, and yes your right, it is low quality, and yes I've learned from this purchase that trying to save green on Firearms parts isn't the way to go. I should have followed the buy once cry once rule.
I'll probably just try to send this one back and order a magpul MOE stock. I really like the UBR but I don't want to spend a third of what I paid for the rifle just for a stock.
And the reason I figured ATI would work for me is because i'm just shooting for fun. I'm not kicking down doors or out in the desert where it's going to get smashed against rocks.
