Can anyone recommend me a good shop in San Diego for purchasing a complete AR-15 lower, and installing a trigger group that I would supply? Since I'm on a budget, I would like the lower to be $300-$350 in price. I would also like for the shop to sell me and install a free float quad rail and front sight block on my upper.

Right now Parallax has a bunch of cool colored lowers, FDE, OD, Pink, Purple, brushed alluminum, and a bunch of standard black ones ar reasonable prices.

Last I was at parallax a few weeks ago they were out of complete lowers and were pretty well backordered on all of them, I forget who it was but one of the workers checked on the computer and came back laughing telling me "We have 92 orders on NFA complete lowers, hope that gives you an idea". They have a great selection of stripped lowers though, and I think they sell lower parts kits without the fire control group so you can install your trigger.

If Parallax has stripped lowers thats all that matters. They will build you anything you want.

Just go on a week day if you can... weekends, lots of people queuing up for their black rifle fix.

Thanks for all the responses. How much will they charge to install the parts kit and install a handguard?

It all depends. If you buy it there, they normally do it for free. I don't work there, so I can't guarantee it. They have also built uppers for me with my parts for $10. They are very reasonable, and have good customer service.

what's ARD barrels?

Ar15depot.com barrels which I've come to learn are cheap Chinese barrels. They cost about $100-$129 and for $139 you can get a GM American made barrel so there's really no point, I would never seek Chinese made hard parts if I had a store

Never heard of Parallax before, and I live in the Miramar area. Will have to check them out!
