I took advantage of PSA Labor Day Special and bought a Complete Upper, Lower STR Build Kit with MOE PG in FDE, and one of their BCG. Ordered on the 30th of Aug and just got it today. It was a long wait but you can't beat their prices when they have a sale.

Almost Finished! Just made a rookie mistake and didn't double check the build list and forgot to order a charging handle:kest:

If there's any interest, I'll list all the parts I used as well as cost for those contemplating on pulling the trigger!

Looks great OP. I can't believe you can make a rifle of that caliber for under a grand. That's has to be one of the nicest AR's I've ever seen for under $1k.

Looks great OP! And looks like you had alot of fun in the process. Now get a charging handle in and spit some lead downrange :)

Nice stick!

I like the FDE/black look!

Wow, great price on the STR LBK! Now you need a CH and some FDE PMags!

I'm kicking myself in the *** over not ordering the CH from PSA when I made my initial purchase. They had the plain jane mil spec CH for only $14.99, but since my lack of attention to detail in not checking the list twice, I have to pay $10 more from Amazon:43: At least some portion of that will end up towards the cause! www.shop42a.com:rolleyes:

Very nice!!! Ya must have pulled an all nighter building that sucker. Your sippy cup and chips are a dead giveaway.

Be careful, that looks a lot like the rifles that Red Jacket "designed & built" for their latest client. They might sue you for stealing their "one off, innovative design." Haha

It took about an hour to put together the lower and that's including a break in between to feed my son:D

Nice first build!

So what parts have you decided on for your 2nd and 3rd builds? ;)

If I had seen this thread just a few days earlier I would have sent you a spare charging handle from my parts bin. Can't stand the sight of an incomplete build, even if it's not my own LOL. That's BRD for you..

Looks great! I'm just starting to collect all the things for my first build, and picking it up mostly through PSA, ordered my stripped upper on 8/29 so hopefully this means mine will show up soon. Let us know how yours shoots :D

I finally got a chance to bring her out to my indoor range IVE to test her out. All these were done at 57ft because that's the furthest I could set my target out too.

Very nice build! I really like the black and tan look. I'm looking forward to putting my first build together later this year. I ordered the stock from PSA since it was on sale - should have ordered a LPK since it was on sale too. Oh well, all in good time.
