I believe it is because Tactical Machining is backed up. If you can get your hands on a TM 80% then you would be able to attend one of Are's build parties.

Was that the ar15 or ar10 or both that are back ordered?

You may save me a trip up there.

Last time I talked to them (about half a week ago) they said they were 2-3 weeks out from having lowers available.

I think the dude with the CNC machine that make the lower 100% is making more $$.

You all might be surprised that they aren't making that much money doing the machining. Running a machine is not free. Yes the program is done, but that was an expense. Don't forget wear on the machine and the most expensive part, tooling. I don't know what they charge, but my guess is they aren't making all that much doing that part. They probably make more selling accessories, uppers, parts, etc.

That's the way it is in many things.

And, if I'm wrong and they are raking in the cash doing it. All the more power to them.

Are they set up to handle the Quentin Defence 80% lowers at their parties? And do they have anybody that does anodizing?

No, they are only set up for Tactical Machining lowers. If you have a QD lower then message Roccobro or get in on one of AIMSMALL's BPs

I had one machined about a month ago down there and the trigger pocket is about .5 mm to shallow, my buddy also had two machined, has the same issue.

The only trigger that fits is a RRA two stage, even then the selector is really stiff due to the trigger pressing up on it. I sent a PM but no reply.
So basically I have a crappy lower with a trigger I dont want and a really stiff selector.
YMMV
The guys are very cool, but now Im trying to figure out how to fix this POS I have

Not sure if you mean that the trigger contacts the pocket; if so, just dremel the pocket a bit and it will work fine.

Yes the trigger contacts the pocket, how will a dremel fit down in there?
Kind of disappointed that I paid to have this done and now I'll have to go at it with a dremel.

You can get longer arbors is imagine or get the dremil with the flex head attachment

The tips/bits are long enough to reach so just pick a sanding bit that fits the pocket. You don't have to grind much to make it fit.

Thx I hear you. It's not that bad once you do it.
The cone shaped sanding bit works well if you don't have a cylindrical that fits.

I have a Foredom flex shaft that will make fast work of it.
I will get the right bit so it comes out good.
