I want one, but the price is steep at MSRP. Would need to swap out the mags as well (thanks California!)

I like the Jason Bourne movies as much as the next guy but still do not need a .308 battle rifle which I can deploy in 50 seconds out of a suitcase.

Another completely stupid idea.

"Have you ever felt the need for a full size, .308 caliber, semi auto battle rifle that can fit in a suitcase and be deployed from said suitcase in 50 seconds?"

Actually no, I haven't and don't think anyone else on the planet has either.

I once felt the need for a .50 BMG Sniper Rifle that could be deployed from an Asprin bottle in 37 seconds. As it turns out, not such a practical idea

Someone posted this a few weeks ago.

Basically it's a SCAR without all the benefits of being a SCAR, such as the light weight and extensive battle testing.

If you need a quick deploy battle rifle wouldn't you want optics on it?

That suitcase would look more threatening then just carrying the rifle itself lol... looks like a bomb case for sure..

I like the idea, but prefer the EDM model 12 in .308

I don't see it being practical. Too heavy and bulky to lug around. If you keep it in the trunk of your car it takes longer to assemble if you need it than a standard rifle.

Doesn't come with scope in the case so sniper is out.

But if the price was less than $1500 I would consider it.

Get a cheaper battle rifle and a bigger suitcase....problem solved.

Now THAT'S what I call "thinking out of the box"!

Break down weapons are cool, I don't care who you are.

Why not have a SBR AR/15 and just separate the two halfs and put them in a suit case?

I don't think the sights of this rifle will stay zeroed after you break it down.

For that money,I'd buy a nice rifle with optics throw it in a pelican case and have some change leftover for some ammo.

Exactly. No one is seriously going to spend $5k for this and expect it to be practical or the best on the market for the money or to stay zeroed for long. It just cool that they did it., that's all.

So would all of us; it's just cool that's all.

I'm a sucker for compact rifles, but this one doesn't do much for me. Rather see a short barreled FAL in a slightly larger case.

Still neat though.

It takes him almost 45 seconds to assemble it after he has all the pieces laid out. What happens if he has to assemble from the case? It will take longer. I can put something like a Larue Predatar into a duffle bag, pull it out and attach the upper to the lower in about half that time and have the added option of having an optic on it. It's a solution looking for a problem. If that's being a hater; guilty.

And it took probably 15 or so twists to lock the nut after the barrel was attached

cool idea but not for $5K

Why a suitcase?
Roll in style with a violin case.
I'd bet you could fit a .308 Galil in one, or a para FAL.

Of course in CA you have the issue of OAL with the stock closed, so you'd need to be careful. But if you lived in a free state you could...

saxophone case, won't have to even break down an ar if you pick the right sized saxophone.

a contrabass sax can probably fit an AT4 rocket launcher in there... haha

I think it's pretty cool. I'll probably buy one right after I win the lottery and have a battle ostrich to ride while I shoot it. ;)
