I want to build a retro AR15 a1 Vietnam era. I found some places online to buy stuff but wasn't to sure which place to get parts for it. I want to make a close as I can to a real vintage m16.

Welcome. Calguns has a number of Vendor sponsors, you can find them at the links at the top of the page or in the vendors section.

Welcome to CalGuns.
You have some research to do, depending on what manufacturer they are quite different.

I believe nodak spud does retro receivers. Or at least they did. True retro builders buy actual colt stuff. Most buy after market lookalikes. I will build both rifle and carbine sometime but don't know if I will do a nodak with colt furniture or after market. FYI most colt lowers are listed on the AW ban so that's a no go for the most part

There are M16A1 kits out there, check Gunbroker. Then get a lower reciever from Nodak Spud. Winning!!
