So I have access to a 96 brig and there asking $499 I think (have to check price again might be +/- )
What's the general consensus on these?
I love the design and feel of the 92's and want another .40, how does this go bang?
Also what are the features of the brigadier model?
Thank you

Brigadier slides are widened and beefier slides than standard 92/96 slides. The slides alone are worth $250 dollars. Also the front sights are usually dovetail vs integral to slide and can be changed out.

The price point for a pistol is very good at $500 even if the finish is not perfect.

The only other options are whether the pistol has night sights or not, and whether it is an FS or G model.

The Brigadier is desirable because it has a dovetailed front sight that makes it easier to install aftermarket sights. The revised slide profile also adds a few ounces to the gun, which may reduce the felt recoil.

Sweet. I have to inspect the gun better and closer. Last I saw there was what appeared to be dirt in the grips. I have to check for nicks and check the barrel out and such. But other than that I wouldn't expect less from a baretta. And this will be my first if/when I get it. Lol

Buy it.

Most berettas are going for over 500, getting one with a brigadier slide is worth over 100$ more, and the fact that it's a 96 makes it slightly less common.

If it's an elite, it's worth about 750 or more in ok condition, if the auctions are anything to go by.

So do I, and I love it so very very much. I pretty much lucked into mine during my hunt for a 96. This turned up on gunbroker with the seller being not too far from me so I was able to PPT it and thereby not have to worry about SSE or extra transfer fees. On top of that, the price was AMAZING, and the gun was in fantastic condition.

Other than the title of this thread, it's a win for you! Good luck! <BERETTA>

Turners had the 92 on sale for a little over $500. That is the sweetest most reliable 9mm maid. It's originally Italian made but you can get an all American made model same price.

Umm, that was $599 (I did see $550 about 2 years ago), and he's quoting a Brigadier 96. But, yeah, I have my share of 92's and never had a problem with them (except for problems I induced... )
