View Full Version : Sig 1911- where to buy

Which gun dealer has the best prices on Sig 1911 in the Modesto/Stockton area. Also, from what I see, there are no Cal compliant Sig 1911 that have ambi safety. What's up with that?

Sig tacops should be ca complient.

I added a Wilson Ambi-safety to my GSR, it doesn't quite match the nitron finish but it looks great. I wouldn't worry too much about the gun having an ambi-safety from the factory, they are very easy to install.

Also, you can't go wrong with a SIG 1911. Good choice, if you choose to buy one.

Where is a good place to buy? I did not see the tacs model on the Sig website.

Check with Barnwood Arms in Ripon. Possibly Elite Arms in Manteca.

If your willing to come to San Jose. Pete at MP Arms has great prices on Sigs.
It for how much you can save it would be worth the drive. He has a Scorpion right now that I have been eyeing.

Was just in Barnwood Arms. They have both blue and stainless in stock. Don't remember the prices but they are always fair. Remember the cheapest price is not always the best price. There are other things to consider.

+1 For Barnwood, I was in there Saturday. they had at least 3 different Sig 1911s. IIRC, they were all under $1000

If you're looking at modesto/stockton, many shops in Sacramento have the Sig 1911s.

Peninsula Guns & Tactical in San Bruno has them in stainless and all black.

Without a doubt, go to Alquist Arms in Turlock. Their prices are usually better than all those other places mentioned above. I don't work there and I'm not affiliated in any way...other than helping them stay in business with my $$ for guns program...haha

And it is where I bought my Sig 1911 Target nitron model. My favorite gun to shoot right now.

If you have an FFL who won't beat you up on the transfer fee you should check out:

They seem to have the best pricing on SIG 1911s;
