I had to have one...

So I'm selling my 930 spx and bought this 10days ago... Being in Komifornia ... you have to wait 10days before getting your gun out of DROS.

But as soon as I got it ... I changed out parts already ...

I swapped over my Choate Pistol Grip ( I cant wait for the Mesa Unit), the 3XL End Cap from Nordic Components, Nordic Pineapple Charging Handle, and S&J Followere... Enough of the chit chat heres the gun porn ...

with the 3xl end cap ... you could get 10rds of 2 3/4 in the tube

Looks awesome man. I wish I could afford the JM 930 :(. I'll just have to wait until all of my side projects are done.

I found a issue today with my JM Pro magazine tube. While doing a deep clean and oiling.

The inlet or lip to the stainless tube ( where the main tube and Nordic extended tube met) was ever so slightly bend. Which caused my follower to hung up right where the nordic extended tube and main tube meet.

So to fix it I took out my gunsmith brass hammer and tapped it. Till it was sort of out of the way. But the follower was still getting hung up. So I got my dremel with a sanding bit and polished the lip free and clear. Now she manually cycles clean and smooth with 10rds in the tube.

Next upgrade is going to be a TruLock extended Improved Cylinder Choke. To protect my extended end cap.

I got mine a few weeks ago as well. I haven't gotten a chance to shoot it. Have you taken it to the range? I was watching to videos about FE/FF issues.

If your talking about the old guy and his jm pro ... its because your really suppose to clean re-oil the gun before heading out to the range.

My old 930spx had this issue as well but that's because of the crazy port job I had done to it. Because of the port job it hardly kicks and I can get back on target faster with multipul rounds ... I cured the problem with my old 930spx by using Remington ammo that's rated @ 1350fps and it runs thru that without any issues. With 00Buck or Slugs my old spx ate that up too; as fast as you can pull the trigger and it actually becomes flatter when pumping rounds down range as fast as you can send them.

But no I haven't ran her yet. I plan on going to a 3gun match this weekend and it'll be the first time I'll take her out.

Only thing left to do is order another TruLock Choke ... I want a MOD choke ... I need to have the lifter welded and have the load port opened up alittle bit more...

Finally took my JM Pro out to the range. Ran splendidly but the mag tube follower seemed to get stuck around where the tube extension is. I filed some of the edge down because it seemed a little rough. Did you get this too?

Yes I did but its not the mag tube, its the follower. Call mossberg to replace it or use the Nordic Component or Briley follower ... Fits and doesn't hang up. But in my case I lost a round in capacity... I'm upgrading to a briley component +10 combo kit to get max capacity... Comes with the tube, spring, follower and +3 extension...

Hi.... new here.

I wanted to share my thoughts and fixes for the JM Pro.

I got mine about 2 months ago after looking and waiting for almost 6 months. 599 +20 ffl. Not too bad.

I got the 22 inch 8 round version.

First impression, seems either shop or Mossberg gouged in and around the receiver screws a tiny bit, other than that, the gun looked good.

Out to range, first rounds with a variety of ammo from steel BB shot to light 1 oz dove loads... not a hick-up! Fed and ejected everything and after about 300 rds no failures of any sort. Nice.

The issue of the jamming bolt as posted earlier happened to me as well and as described it only seems to happen when unloaded and the lifter is free to bounce up too high (since there is no shell on it)

Never- the -less, I don't like that issue in case of trouble, so I modified the lifter as shown. Beveling the edge just enough to allow the bolt release bar to slide past. It will still have too much pressure from the bolt to simply allow you to press the button, but by pulling back the bolt a bit, this fix will let you now push the button (at the same time) and the lifter will slip back down, past the bar. I found that without this fix, the two parts really get tangled and jam tight.

I also smoothed and polished the top edge of the lifter bar where it contacts the bottom edge of the bolt release flat which I also polished with some emery to get rid of burrs so the bolt release is smooth as butter now to press and release the bolt.

The issue of the thumb getting caught by the lifter when loading has been addressed by "welding up" the front. If you do not have access to welding you can do as I did and simply soften the edge of the rounded notch by filing or grinding the notch to a softer curve as shown and rounding and polishing with emery the sharp edge. It is not as good a a weld job but better than factory.

I also noted, at least on my 22 inch 8 rounder, that if I unscrew the mag tube cap a just few turns, maybe 1/8 inch, I can fit an extra round easily making it a 9 round tube! I plan to get a spacer or a few 1 inch O rings to fill the gap.

Love this shotgun... FAST, LIGHT, RELIABLE, LOW RECOIL, Made in USA and Better trigger than my Walmart Beretta 390 ( I know, but same price point),,, and to think, I almost paid 1500+ for a Benelli! Go USA.

So far since my last post My 930 is flawless. I have had the issue with my thumb getting caught, but I just simple just started loading with the knuckle of my thumb holding down the lifter as I loaded the round. So far so good, probably might end up welding up the thing too.

I'm anxious to see Mesa Tactical come out with their Urbino Stock for the 930. Second best shotgun I ever bought. My first was a Mossy 500.

Try turner's. As much as I'm not a fan of that place, they had it and at a reasonable price. They have so many stores so they can always move them around and have a giant warehouse. At least thats what they had done for mine.
