1953 S&W K-22 Masterpiece

Well, apart from the Nox-Rust paper, and with a lot of help and advice from the S&W Forum members, I completed the set today!
Pistol, box, Helpful Hints brochure, sight adjustment tool, and cleaning tools.

It's a shooter and not a museum piece, but it's all there finally.

What a great hobby!

that's a beauty. I wonder how much it cost when it was brand new?

I think they were somewhere around $60-$70. Still a pretty steep price in those days.

I think that is in the ballpark. That was a weeks wages for the average working man in 1952 (maybe a bit more.)

Doc, you sure do come up with some fine pieces.

Correct bore brush arrived in the mail today.

Without the Nox-Rust paper, I think this is about as close as I can get to replicating everything that came with the 1953 K-22 Masterpiece.

Good job man and congrats on a beautiful Smith. Are you going to do the K32 and K38 as well for the trifecta?

Thanks, but I doubt it.

I bought the gun by itself with the intention of shooting rimfire silhouette matches. Ended up just buying an extra barrel for the Model 41 to swap between iron sights class and optics class.

So, I had a K22 on my hands.

The thrill of the hunt got to me, so I tracked down the original box and goodies for it.
