My new S&W 627 with Hogue Rosewood grip!

This full-sized square-butt grip really gives great control with this revolver!

Wow, that is nice. I'm contemplating getting that exact model myself! Didn't know they made 8 round "clips" like that.

Yes, those are 8 round moonclips. Numerous sources for them.

Well chosen. A square butt grip on an N frame gun is perfect. I've got Ahrends grips on my 627, but had those same hogues on a 629.

You've obviously got fantastic taste. Of all the guns I have, my 4" 627 would be the last I'd give up. If you want to have a lot of fun, get yourself the 617, a little brother to your .357 with a 10 shot .22LR cylinder!

I had a set of grips just like those on mine in Walnut. Realized I didn't like finger grooves and changed them out to Retro Targets...

Handled some boot grips and bought some ASAP. Just got them em today. Hope you don't mind me sharing too.

This is what mine used to wear.

Sorry.. I just get excited whenever I see other people display 627s.

Gorenut, thanks for sharing. Beautiful firearm that you have. Finger groves are of course a matter of individual preference. For a .357 I have found that I like them. The Hogue-style finger grips give me the control I need particularly when firing .357 in double action. I also have them on my GP100 and Dan Wesson 15-2:

Hah, then you are lucky enough that the finger grooves fit you. I'd definitely like finger grooves if they fit me. I definitely think finger grooves do add a lot of beauty.

PS: We seem to share so many common guns. Now the 627.. but of course I know you also own a Mini.. then I see you posting a GP 100 as well. Hah. Good tastes.

I really like fingure groves on round but guns with short barrels. Here is a custom set of combats made by forum member Kurac.

Sweet gun. Would love to have one. A guy bought one while I was in Reed's yesterday.
