Hello Calguns family

I've been hungry for a 22lr handgun for the longest time and I think i'm going to have to go with the ruger 22/45 blued version target model. My question is this, what is a good price for a ruger 22/45 blued version target model in the bay area?

I've looked around... and comparatively, the ruger website lists the MSRP at $349, gunbroker has a buy now deal for 260, BUT APPARENTLY TARGET MASTERS IN MILPITAS SELLS THEM FOR AROUND 390 OR MORE (yikes!) .. I called target masters today and after i asked how much it would cost for rugers lower end models, the man on the phone said around 390. I sincerely hope he's wrong.

Thanks

I paid $279 for mine at Alquist Arms in Turlock. At that price, I did not hesitate and I snatched it up quick. Haven't seen one there since... I don't think they are available from Ruger for quite some time. Another LGS said Ruger is not accepting orders for the rest of 2012 because their production runs are completely sold out.

But, that salesman might have been confusing the Mark III 22/45 with the regular Mark III line which sounds about right for that price.

hmm.. you just might be right. On the phone he was talking about Ruger making a very dumb decision and something about manufacturing 1 million guns or something. I didn't get everything he was saying, but with the number 1 million, i'm pretty sure there's people how there who would know what the man on the phone was talking about.

Richard at Alquist Arms has been pretty good - he wants to sell guns and I've found his prices pretty reasonable. To the point my brother drove all the way over from the peninsula to Turlock to buy a Kimber .45 and then went back to buy a Glock 19 later. And my older brother is picky.:kest:

I've bought from Richard at Alquist Arms and he's an NRA supporter. Call him. He'll quote you a price.

+1 for Alquist Arms in Turlock. Every time I've been in there I've been treated right. The prices are as low or lower than all the other shops in the area. I have an M&P 15-22 and a CZ Scout 452 in jail there now.

I see them for ~$300 all day in the Sacramento area. $280 would be a great price. Also, the Ruger mkiii blued target model goes for roughly $350 out here.

Not sure if there's a Turner's Outdoorsman chain store in the Bay area, but...

Currently on sale (09-21 to 09-30), Ruger 22/45 (5.5" bull barrel) $269.98

Alas, no there is not. I often salivate over the Turner's deals people mention here on Calguns. :(

I'd check around ... you check Markley's in Watsonville?
