There are some good options nearby you. Just to make sure we know what your looking for, do you want a pistol grip traditional style AK that will require a bullet button or would you consider a featureless rifle stock Saiga pattern that does not require a bullet button?

What caliber? 5.45, .223. .308 7.62

I'd like the pistol grip traditional, with the button. 7.62 pref, isn't the AK 74 the one thats 5.45? Tell me the difference please...

Welcome.

The AK74 is 5.45, that is correct.

It is best to ask your original question in the "Centerfire Rifles" Section as you will get more responses to help you out.

The 5.45 was created back when 556 came out & was having good results so the Russains in classic cold war predictability tried to match it & they did. Even though the AK inventor Kalashnikov himself raised hell about it. It's similar to the 556 and still breaks up & tumbles when it hits causing major trama. The 7.62 is confusing for you have it in 3 flavors X39-X51 & X 54 & the 51& 54 are 308 caliber ish. But 7.62X39 is the farthest they could take a pistol round & be effective. 7.62 x39 is a pretty devastating round although some say not as accurate as the 556 but in the eyes of Kalashnikov the rate of fire more than made up for this & he is right & history has proven that

I can't help w/ your original question. But, you might try reading/asking in the center-fire rifles area. Most folks here don't look into the "new here" area for Qs to A.
