Looking for some good solid opinions. Ive been going back and forth with small pistols.. had walther 380 had ruger lc9 and they were all okay in there own little ways.. Im torn between getting a Glock 26 (im a Glock guy by the way so dont hate) or a Taurus 617?? 9mm vs 357
Glock holds more fire power!! (more accurate than I probably)
Taurus has the power?? (old faithful and easy to operate)
I own both calibers and both manufacturers and $$ isnt holding me back. Love to have both but looking just for one at the moment.
thanks:chris::chris:

What will the gun be used for????

I am not sure that the .357 revolver out of a 1 1/2" barrel would have much more velocity than a 9mm pistol with a 3 1/2" barrel

The velocity of an 125 grain Federal from 2" .357 is 950 feet per second

The G26 has an 3.46" barrel
Federal 124 grain
3"= 988 feet per second
4"= 1061 feet per second

When I step outside, I put my SP101 in my pocket and leave my plastic guns in the safe. If I need more than 3 rounds of 38 shotshells and 2 rounds of Hydroshock in my yard, I should have had more situational awareness.

get the glock man, i had a taurus and the finish wasnt great and when it got hot the cylinder would not come out and it has a stupid safety feature where you need to press two latches to get the wheel out this is on a taurus raging bull
