If you can get any other job, do it. Selling guns is pretty emotionally draining on most people, particularly in urban areas.

What's the "typical" range of pay and/or commission for gun sales at a LGS? I'm sure it changes from store-to-store, but interested to know as I have heard typically it's in the high 30's to 50's for guys at the LGS counter. Could be much more if you're a distributor or a rep from the manufacturer?

I thought so but the caps was throwing me off like it was a name of store. Thank you Hammer.

I dont see how it could be in the 50's for a salesman at any LGS, unless you happen to be part owner as well

One of my kids worked at a LGS before leaving for the Army...$10 and hour, freebies here and there and a big discount on anything purchased. YMMV...

That's pretty low but might be worth just working there PT to get a discount on some pricey toys. :-) I wonder how much of a discount. hmmmm....
